NestEgg News: Four features coming soon

NestEgg will be rolling out four new features over the coming weeks. Here’s a summary of what’s on the way and what it means for your credit union.

Decision Summary Panel

Every referred loan application means manual work: lending officers compare the rules across different risk bandings before they can reach a decision. Speed is what wins lending – applicants who wait go elsewhere.

A new Decision Summary Panel removes that work entirely. It surfaces every loan amount band side by side in a single view, and goes a step further: it recommends the highest viable loan amount and explains the reasoning behind it. The officer gets the full picture and the suggested decision in one place – no tab-switching, no manual comparison.

The result is exactly what credit unions tell us drives growth: faster turnaround, a confident decision, and one-click finalisation that gets a fast answer back to the member.

Performance Analytics

A new Lending Performance Dashboard brings two views of your lending, together, in a single place:

Operational Health – turnaround time, automation rate, override rate, and withdrawal rate.

Portfolio Health – loan book growth and delinquency rates.

Phase 2 will add AI-generated commentary to help teams and boards interpret the data without needing to dig into the numbers themselves.

Enhanced ID checks

We’re significantly upgrading how identity checks work, giving credit unions more control, better data, and greater confidence in the outcome.

The new system draws on more data sources than before, which means more applicants pass without needing to provide documents – reducing friction and withdrawals. Scores become configurable to your risk appetite, so the threshold for passing an ID check can reflect your own policies rather than a fixed system. And for the first time, lending officers will be able to see exactly what is driving a score, making it easier to act with confidence on the result.

The upgrade also introduces additional fraud measures, including visibility on whether an applicant has applied to other credit unions. The result is ID checks that are better aligned to how your credit union assesses risk, with the transparency to back up every decision.

We’re running the new system behind the scenes as part of enhanced testing and expect to roll out this new feature in August.

Save Only – configurable member questions

For credit unions whose lending is growing fast, deposits have to keep pace. A strong loan book needs the savings base to fund it. The easier you make it for members to save, the faster you can raise the deposits that growth depends on.

That’s what this update is about: full flexibility over your Save Only application. We’re extending the same question-configurability framework already available in Loan Products, so you can mark each question as not asked, optional, or mandatory, and tailor the whole journey to your operating model.

Credit unions also get six new fields – including residential status, employment status, payroll number, and prize saver opt-in – and control over three questions that are currently fixed for every credit union: minimum deposit, joining fee, and monthly savings amount.

The result is a savings application built around how you actually operate: fewer irrelevant questions for the members who don’t need them, the right data captured from those who do, and a smoother path to the deposits that fund your lending.
